The monument to the Armenian alphabet
The monument to the Armenian alphabet is located on the eastern slope of Mount Aragats. It was built in 2005 and includes ornaments of 39 letters of the Armenian alphabet and monuments of great Armenians.
Hovhannavank
Hovhannavank is a medieval Armenian monastery complex located near the village of the same name on the rock of the Western bank of the Kasakh River. The monastery was one of the most important spiritual and cultural institutions of medieval Armenia.
Mughni
The Church of St. Gevorg (Mughni) is located on the southern edge of the village of Mugni, the Aragatsotn region. The church is built of smooth-hewn stones of black and red tuff, an open three-chamber hall adjoins the western side, on the middle part of which the rotunda of a 12-columned bell tower rises. In the center of the spacious and high prayer hall, a dome with a cylindrical drum and an umbrella rises on cruciform worlds.
Tegher
The monastery complex of Tegher (Tegher) (XIII century) is located in the village of Tegher in the Aragatsotn region. The complex includes a domed church and a narthex. According to the inscription on the stone at the entrance to the courtyard, Mamakhatun was built by the wife of Prince Vache Vachutyan, the architect was an incinerator archimandrite. The complex was built on a small hill of dark gray basalt (1213-1232).
